FIVE

My Baby Girl is FIVE!!

I honestly cannot believe it, how fast five years have gone by. Living with Ava is such a blast. She's crazy and fun and messy and stylish and silly and creative and brilliant and happy and oh so full of light. The past five years have been filled with a ton of laughter and a whole lotta love. I'm so happy and proud to call Ava my daughter.

In honor of Princess Ava's big day, we asked her about her favorite things...Here goes, in her own words...
Favorite Color: Pink (no surprise there)!
Favorite Thing To Wear: Dresses and my new cowgirl boots!
Favorite Book: Disney Princess Book (her dad just LOVES to read this book over and over and over again, every single night)!
Favorite Food: Bean and Cheese Burrito
Favorite Song: Don't Stop Believing (by Journey. Nice call kid).
Favorite Person: Seth (our next door neighbor/her "boyfriend")
Favorite Toy: Barbies
Favorite Saying: Neeeiiiiigh!! (like a horse. She pretends to be a horse most of the time).
Favorite Thing To Do: Recess
Favorite Place To Be: Nonie and Grumpa's house
Favorite Game: Tag
Favorite TV Show: Dino Dan
Favorite Movie: Tangled
Favorite Pet: "Calipiller" (the poor caterpillar she caught the other day. Guess the dogs just aren't as cool). Favorite Friend: Jadyn and Sadie

Yesterday, we had a little family party at Shevlin Park (her big birthday party will be next weekend). On the menu? Hot dogs and Mac N Cheese of course, and instead of cake, the birthday girl insisted upon doughnuts (a girl after my own heart)! The kids had a blast splashing in the stream and playing in the sand, and the birthday girl made out like a bandit with the gifts. Barbie Barbie Barbie!!! DSC_4381 DSC_4382 DSC_4425 DSC_4375

Isn't it crazy that we have 5 year old kids? I can't believe it most days. Ava seems like quite the little girl and I hope it isn't too long before I get to meet her. Thomas would probably want her to be his girlfriend. Oh and glad to be clicking on your blog again.

FIVE?! Nice work mom (and dad) on raising such a sweet, sweet, happy little girl. Not to mention a smartie and beautiful. A rare combo. Galen, you're going to have your hands full.
