You're An Official Oregonian When...

You purchase a 1970 VW Riviera...and you're oh so proud of it...

Your kids play for hours in the Metolius River...

And you let your kids stay up WAY past their bedtime, cause, what the hell, you're in the woods!

You can consume WAY more beer than you used to...

You go for an hour hike and your kids don't complain once, instead they collect flowers and leaves to bring home...

A snuggle on the hammock is WAY better than any cartoon...

The men desperately try to catch fish for dinner...

The kids (and adults) enjoy many intense games of Bocce Ball...

Your two year old could care less that his mother forgot his shoes, and walks around barefoot all weekend...

You have views like this...

Your husband drives his VW bus around town with no shirt...and wears the same pair of swim trunks for 3 days straight...

Haha, nice! Awesome pics! I have subcaptions for almost all of those, like...'you play the name game around camp until 4 in the morning (and are hung over until 4 pm the next day)....'A snuggle in the hammock is way better than any cartoon (unless you're Sadie)'...and 'The men desperately try to catch fish for dinner (but never do)'.
I bought replacement batteries for the bocce balls today, so we're all set for next time!

That looks like an amazing relaxing vacation! I am also glad to hear that I am not the only mom in the world who forgets shoes for her kids. Love our hippie friends.

I think that makes a great Christmas card. Your family is gorgeous! I love the "drives around with his shirt off in his VW and wears the same swim trunks for 3 days" caption---awesome and reminds me of my hubby. AND I would totally forget Jackson's shoes (because he never wears any) too!! I want to come camping too!! I'll bring my Touareg (kinda fit in)
